Synergy Scientific Solutions' International Capabilities played a pivotal role in building a successful drug development team working across several Client sites in Europe.

Challenge

With an increase in its product development portfolio and limitations affecting its laboratory facilities across Europe, a global Vaccine company were struggling to optimise available laboratory space and provide an efficient and cohesive environment for its existing R&D team who were based in three countries. Development was behind schedule and existing internal management teams had limited capacity to ensure effective management and training of any new scientific staff.

Solution

Synergy’s strategic approach to addressing the client’s challenges included a GAP analysis from which a set of deliverables were defined. This process facilitated the rapid recruitment of 15 Synergy scientists through the company’s international capabilities, ensuring compliance with national legislations throughout.

Multi-lingual recruiters played a key role in finding candidates with the necessary technical and soft skills that would meet client needs. Additionally, appointing a Senior Scientist/Team Leader at each site ensured effective workload management and team cohesion.

To support the development timeframes, tailored training programs and regular virtual meetings were established to enable alignment and ensure remote collaboration and effective time management. Within the strict regulatory framework, laboratory facilities, equipment utilisation and processes were also examined to identify any areas for improvement to enable better efficiency.

Outcome
