Salary - £50,000 - £70,000
Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm
Driver's licence and access to a car preferable as site is difficult to get to on public transport

SRG is working with a leading manufacturer of pest control products. Recently, a new role has been created on their team for a technical and development manager. This role would suit someone with a strong background in formulation chemistry, preferably in agrochemicals or similar active ingredients. The purpose of this role is to lead the development and commercialisation of pest control products across multifunctional teams. Applications are encouraged from people with a strong affinity for leadership and project management in the speciality chemicals sector.

Role Description
- Managing projects relating to the development of new pest control products
- Researching and developing products and active substances while keeping up to date with market trends within the broader industry
- Planning laboratory and field trials of products to ensure they are compliant with health and safety regulations
- Being a technical expert on the company's products and assisting with technical enquiries from customers
- Liaising with sales, marketing, R&D and regulatory teams to help bring a product to market
- Leading and mentoring technical staff and more junior members of the team
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, biology or similar relevant field. (PhD is beneficial but non-essential)
- Proven track record of product development in pesticides, insecticides, rodenticides, biocides or similar industries
- Knowledge of formulation chemistry and ability to demonstrate to members of the team
- Strong leadership skills
- An understanding of the biology of pests and resistance management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full right to work in the UK
