Production Assistant

Full time, Permanent.

35 hours/ week, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.

SRG are working with a leading FMCG Manufacturing organisation who are looking for a Production Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis in Inverness.

The successful candidate will support the production management team by assisting with the maintenance and optimisation of all production process and records.

Hours will vary with some weekend work also required during harvest period. No holidays to be taken during harvest period (Aug to early Oct).

Responsibilities:

• Assist with production planning
• Ensuring records are completed and kept up to date
• Ordering safety and chemical supplies.
• Assisting with customer blend processing and ensuring blends are updated on systems.
• Update and maintain risk assessments and plant procedures.
• Assisting with the close out of customer audit corrective actions.
• Maintain COSHH assessments.
• Assisting the plant production team with general site operational activities.
• Assist with investigating and dealing with customer complaints
• Carrying out trouble shooting projects
• Gain a sound understanding of the malting process and associated activities.
• Maintain and register site PPE stocks and issue to staff
• Assist with harvest barley intake

Requirements:

• Graduate level qualification in a science, engineering, or agricultural discipline.
• Experience in an industrial production environment desirable (preferably food / drinks)
• Health and Safety knowledge. IOSH Managing Safely desirable.
