Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Controller
Location: Broughton, North Wales
Sector: Facilities Management & Real Estate

We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Controller to join our Facilities Management and Real Estate team in Broughton, North Wales. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging working environment while driving high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support FMRE teams and service providers in implementing effective risk controls.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations for new and existing plant and work equipment.
  • Conduct EHS inspections and support formal record-keeping and action plans.
  • Review contractor safety management systems through pre-qualification processes.
  • Provide expert EHS advice for strategic projects, from feasibility to design.
  • Implement compliance audits aligned with legal requirements (e.g., CDM Regulations 2015, Building Safety Act).
  • Investigate work-related incidents and ensure effective corrective actions are taken.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and KPIs reporting.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) - minimum.
  • Experience in Facilities Management (including construction and maintenance).
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to implement safety initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in formal risk assessments and auditing techniques.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work autonomously with a positive approach.
  • Membership of a professional health and safety body (e.g., IOSH) is desirable.
