Job Title: Microbiologist - Global Beverage Company

Contract: 12 month

Location: Dublin

Salary: € 28.18 PAYE, 36.06 Umbrella/Ltd

Working pattern: onsite

SRG are working with a global Agrochemical company that are seeking a Microbiologist to join their busy team. They are looking for an experienced candidate with at least 2 years industrial experience.

The team deliver microbiological expertise and execute research and project development at the pilot plant. This requires the execution of relevant tests to determine quality of materials, process and finished products. The role of the Microbiologist encompasses the safe execution of daily routine tasks of microbiological testing and fermentation experimentation.

Job Responsibilities:

    programs

    improve their capability
  • Standards: Analyse to determine if finished products comply with
    manufacturing standards.
  • Communicate: Present results
  • Maintenance: Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently
    and perform maintenance when required
  • Teamwork: Work and collaborate efficiently as part of a team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in life sciences such as food/beverage science,
    microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology or significant demonstrable
    experience (>1 year).
  • One year experience in a laboratory would be an advantage.
  • Evidence of communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills,
    with the ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders.
  • Physical capability to perform laboratory bench work utilising the relevant
    techniques and equipment to perform the tasks.
  • Evidence of understanding of the methods used for product testing, microbial
    isolation and identification.
  • Must have practical experience of aseptic technique applied to microbiological
    and genetic analytical techniques.
