NPD Technologist
NPD Technologist required on a permanent basis, based in Worcestershire. Requiring a degree in Chemistry (or similar), with recent industrial experience of developing and testing polymer-based products (ideally PVC). Candidates with proven industrial experience of construction products/adhesives/PVC products or similar are encouraged to apply.

SRG are working with highly successful company who develop and manufacture a range of products for the construction industry. They are now looking to add a NPD Technologist to their industrial technical team, on a permanent basis at their site in Worcestershire. In this role, the successful candidate will support in delivering future products for their portfolio within the construction industry, including developing and testing products and overseeing project delivery from initial brief to product launch. Ideal candidates will hold recent, proven industrial experience of developing polymer-based (ideally PVC) products with a wide range of experience considered.
Role / Description
- Support in the development of new and existing polymer-based products
- Progress the development of products through proper stages of project management - from inception to commercialisation.
- Assist in the physical testing of these new products.
- Able to discuss these new products and testing results with the technical, external and commercial teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to support newly developed product projects.
- Manage both internal and customer projects within the agreed timelines.
- Produce samples on Laboratory scale.
- Identify opportunities and deliver fundamental improvements in existing products and reduce costs, to ensure customers have industry-leading products.
- Present commercially viable ideas for new products.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
- Recent, proven industrial experience of developing and testing polymer-based products (ideally PVC)
- A wide variety of backgrounds can be considered including adhesives, sealants, coatings, construction products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
